Nick St.Oegger is a documentary photographer, writer, and National Geographic Explorer whose work focuses on the relationship between people and place. He creates intimate visual stories that explore themes of identity, resilience, community, and environmental justice.

Over the past decade, his practice has been shaped by extensive work in the Western Balkans, where his photography supported campaigns that helped secure national park status for Albania’s Vjosa River and the inscription of Albanian transhumance on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Drawing on this regional experience, he now develops travel, cultural, and environmental stories globally.

Nick has collaborated with a wide range of editorial, NGO, and commercial clients, including The New York Times, National Geographic, The Guardian, Die Zeit, Libération, New Scientist, Vice, The Telegraph Magazine, Patagonia, and British Airways, among others. His work has been exhibited at galleries and festivals internationally.

Based between Belfast, Tirana, and Sarajevo, he is available for assignments across Europe.
